Football Betting Markets

Football betting markets are different ways of predicting what will happen during a match. Understanding each market helps you know exactly what you are betting on.

Match Result (1X2)

  • 1 — Home win
  • X — Draw
  • 2 — Away win

Double Chance

Covers two possible results:

  • 1X — Home win or draw
  • X2 — Away win or draw
  • 12 — Either team wins

Draw No Bet

Select a team to win. If the match ends in a draw, the stake is normally returned, subject to the bookmaker’s rules.

Both Teams To Score (BTTS)

  • Yes — Both teams score
  • No — At least one team does not score

Over/Under Goals

Predict whether total match goals will be above or below a selected line.

Example: Over 2.5 means 3 or more goals.

Team Goals

Predict how many goals a particular team will score, such as Home Team Over 1.5.

Correct Score

Predict the exact final score, such as 2–1 or 1–0.

Half-Time Markets

Bet on events during the first half, including:

  • Half-time result
  • Half-time goals
  • Half-time BTTS
  • Half-time correct score

Half-Time / Full-Time

Predict the result at both half-time and full-time, such as Home/Home or Draw/Away.

Asian Handicap

A handicap is applied to a team before the market is settled. Rules vary depending on the handicap line, so always check the bookmaker’s terms.

Corners

Markets based on corners, such as:

  • Over/Under total corners
  • Team corners
  • Most corners

Cards

Markets based on yellow/red cards, including total cards, team cards, or player cards.

Player Markets

Depending on the bookmaker, you may find markets such as:

  • Player to score
  • Player shots
  • Player assists
  • Player cards

Before Betting

Always check the market rules, odds, team news, starting line-ups, and settlement conditions. Different bookmakers may apply different rules.

Football News 24 Reminder: Predictions are not guarantees. Football contains uncertainty, and betting involves financial risk. Only bet with money you can afford to lose.
